Sherlock Holmes, the world's only consulting detective, has retired, and keeps bees in a small cottage in the country. Note that he is a cranky, grumpy old man who cares for his bees, and not much else.

I like to keep a lot of BBC Sherlock past canon, although he might have some ACD canon too, and most likely he has retired with John Watson, relationship or just bromance.
